Wearable food
This really is quite amazing. Wearable foods by Sung Yeonju. Such a fresh idea and beautifully photographed. It would have been nice to see a model wearing them.

Scheltens Abbenes
There is something so sterile yet entracing about the work of Scheltens Abbenes who play with strong graphic forms and perspective.

Who would have thought? If only 3 year olds understood parody.

Dead or Alive
I stole flowers from people's gardens for these photos. If you see me in your front yard, don't worry: it's for the love of photography.

I love a quirky infographic style. The use of oranges. blues and blacks is a lovely contrast. The work is courtesy of Mr. Leandro Castelao from Argentina.

IBM Smarter Planet campaign: helping create a better world with wonderfully quirky colourific design. Corporate can be fun! Shouldn't there be more companies like this?
I also like how the pictograms don't stick to the circle format. They make and break the rules.

Food photography
Some recent photos as part of my experiment with food photography.
The first two are chinese spinach dipped in passionfruit, lit from behind and above in front of black cardboard. I think I took about 50 photos trying to get the right drip. The passionfruit kept sliding down too quicky!
The other other two are prawn heads. I really wanted to capture the translucency of the prawn heads (de-gutted par moi) and lit them from underneath a clear-topped table. I still have blue food coluoring on my fingers 3 days later.

Romain Laurent
The images of Romain Laurent's Tilt series is such a great but beautifully executed idea. It has that wonderful NY summer beginning-of-summer feeling.
The distortion of reality makes you realise how far photography has evolved and how deceptive it can be.

How creepy is this? McDonald's burgers don't age- The photographic evidence by Sally Davies.
Shouldn't this somehow be a turn-off for eating fast food?

See it differently
Recently made this poster for Positive Posters competition, based on the theme of Optimism and Glass Half Full. I love Bodoni.
